International visitors sharing with us


Dr. Burkhard Bläsi, from the Führungsakademie in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Rev. Sonia Barron, a priest from the Anglican Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham in the United Kingdom, visited PACSA during the past month and shared enriching insights and perspectives. 

Pastor's Breakfast - Midlands Council of Churches

PACSA in partnership with the Midlands Council of Churches (MCC) held a Pastors Breakfast at the City Royal Hotel in Pietermaritzburg on the 15th of March 2013. The purpose of the breakfast was to introduce the MCC to the broader space of churches as lack of participation by mainline churches had been identified as one of their weaknesses. Over seventy pastors and church leaders attended, representing ministers fraternals working in all 7 local municipalities within uMmgungundlovu districts. 

New PACSA Director Appointed

The PACSA Council and staff have pleasure in announcing the appointment of Mervyn Abrahams as the new PACSA Director. His appointment takes immediate effect.

Three PACSA community partner groups working on livelihoods (Gezubuso, Trust Feed and Richmond) hosted two women emerging farmers, Ms. Ndwandwe and Mrs Mfekayi, from the Zimele project in Mtubatuba, northern KwaZulu-Natal, for four days of sharing experiences, expertise and peer mentorship.

NIKE Donation Sport for Social Change Network

Promised as a Christmas donation in December 2012, the NIKE donation to partners of the Joburg-based SSCN finally arrived at PACSA in mid-January 2013. PACSA is one of SSCN's partners with its project “National Youth Work”.
