Food Justice Collective: Learning to make Jam and Juice from fresh produce

What do we do with excess produce from our gardens? The Hlakaniphani Widows Group in Trustfeed invited their peers in the Food Justice Collective to join them for a workshop on making jam and fresh juice from excess produce from their gardens.The workshop was conducted by the local office of the Department of Agriculture as part of their value-adding programme. 28 participants joined in the workshop where they learnt the process of making jam and fresh juice from surplus fresh produce from their gardens. The idea is to produce jams and juice for their households but the home made products also open a new possible source of income for the members of the Collective.
